WASDA is a primary partner with Oxfam for the last 17 years, implementing diverse programs ranging from development, emergency response and capacity building both in Kenya and Somalia.
The year 2016, WASDA implemented Echo Lanina VI project funded by ECHO through Oxfam
The intervention started in 2011 as a drought response though later the project was continuously evolved and implemented in phases.
The project was implemented in 3 Counties (Wajir, Turkana and Marsabit) by a consortium of 3 NGO’s (Oxfam, Concern Worldwide and Transparency International - Kenya) who formed a strategic partnership with complementary approaches and a common vision to strengthen the DRM system in Kenya and enhance the resilience of the communities living in the ASAL’s of Kenya

b) Facilitate community feedback
c) Community Managed Disaster Risk Reduction
d) Strengthened the County systems for Disaster Management
